Serendipity Geotag plugin

Well, I finally found the time to make a first version of a geotag plugin for Serendipity:
- serendipity_event_geotag (allows for lat/long metadata for events, puts it in the rss2 feed, provides a link to a mapping URL like Google Maps)
- serendipity_plugin_geotag_gmap (shows a Google Map, shows the entries on the map)

This site is the demo for the plugins. I generally geotag the entries in the places category, the feed of which is shown in the Google Map on the top-right of this page.

update: I've turned the map off for now, because it somehow doesn't work in MSIE :-( Firefox users can check out this temporary demo site.

    Hi Zoran,

I'm just creating a new blog and tried using your plugin Geotag Google Map. I am using MS IE7 and Firefox. The behaviour in IE7, it starts loading the header of serendipity and shows an error message shortly after. I was really looking forward to this feature. Any chance this can be fixed in the future?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Lars,

Good to hear you are using the plugin. I am afraid the plugin is still buggy in MSIE. I have made a minimal implementation, but can't get it to work :-/ The problem is not with s9y, but with the javascript.

I'll try to find the time to look into it. If you squash the bug, let me know :-)

    Best, Zoran

I just installed the geotag plugin in my s9y - it works great for this purpose! it's a kind of calendar and indeed I just converted the data from the WebCalendar to s9y. My question: Is it possible to make a google geo-sitemap from all data?

i think you are looking for - serendipity_plugin_geotag_gmap (shows a Google Map, shows the entries on the map)

but IIRC it is broken under MSIE ... perhaps you can fix it? :-)
